Getting a few engines to work in tandem wasn't the problem. There were a ton of vehicles that had that design but not many of them separated at the press of a button. The big hiccup would be getting the power to seamlessly switch over from supporting the combined craft to individual units without significant drops in power or complications... but it looked like the logistics would would have to wait.
Johnny's shoulders tightened and he deliberately didn't turn to look at his sister. He knew that tone of voice. He'd heard it plenty of times over the years. Sue was seriously tweaked about something.
Johnny stared opened mouthed at Reed for a moment. Not cool. It was his fault that Johnny had gotten sidetracked in the first place. "Yeah, okay, that's actually what I came to talk to you about."
He grabbed his phone from the table. "Really," he added, finally looking in Sue's direction. He held up his phone, that still had the email in question on display. "See?"
