This wasn't exactly how Damian pictured their first meeting. The circumstances were less than ideal. Then again, Damian realized, his father had probably had been talking with Cassandra and possibly Pennyworth. There was no telling how those conversation had gone.
Damian looked put out as his sword was secured and his father's words weren't exactly reassuring. He wasn't happy, that was obvious, but the reasoning was clearly lost on Damian.
He looked down for a moment, then back up. His expression full of disbelief. Sentimentality always made things more complicated. "That can wait," he said, inclining his head towards the shop. They had more important things to focus on.
