Batman experienced a moment of worry, wondering if the boy would try to interfere with the deal going on below. It would have been a simple matter, but there were bigger players in this game, and the small frys they were monitoring would lead them right to their dealers.
It looked like they were preparing for something big, which was never good. There was enough violence in Gotham without scum like this adding to it, and the loss of innocent lives was unacceptable. No matter what else was happening, it would end here.
The boy followed the car and Batman went with them as it moved across town toward the Narrows. The Warehouse District was filled with row after row of box-shaped buildings with just enough projecting structures on top to provide adequate shadows. Trust Gotham to always have enough places to hide him.
Choosing a place at an angle from the auto parts shop the car had pulled up in front of, as well as at an angle from where the boy had taken cover, Batman once again watched and waited.
