"Kara!" Lois smiled when she saw her, coming to sit at the table. Hearing about the conversation Clark had had with the teenager, she had been pleased it had gone so well for her husband, but felt a little bad for Kara. Lois' teen years had been extremely unusual - she'd run away from home and was already working for the Planet by the time was was fifteen - so she'd grown up a lot faster than most kids. But there were some feelings she thought were universal, among them not wanting to be treated like a kid.
Giving Kara a hug, Lois sat and stole a chip. "So, I want to hear all about your date," she said first. "How did it go?"
