The approach of the vehicle was met with a pair of growls from the hyena. They were on their feet, snarling, until Harley pulled herself from the ground and offered a weak greeting to the man behind the wheel. "Sorry, Eddie." She dragged her feet towards the vehicle and set her bags inside. "I couldn't leave my babies behind. Where do ya want 'em?" Her blue eyes were still wet with tears and though she was trying her hardest to keep on smiling, she was beginning to fail miserably.
Harley moved to the back to usher the two hyenas in. She gave them a pat on the head and offered some reassuring words of encouragement before the door closed and she was in the van. Her feet were tucked under her and her face was pressed against the glass as she watched what was left of her home burn to the ground.
