Wanda gave him a skeptical look. She thought Loki lost all caring for her after their last meeting. She felt the god's hateful gaze upon her as she exited the room. She knew he hated her for rubbing his supposed weakness in his face. It was hard to believe he would care about her well-being at all.
"Did he? I wouldn't think he'd care. Not after what was said." She lowered her gaze, once again picking at her food to give her hands something to do. "I doubt he will change, but if he ever does..." She trailed off, not wanting to finish the thought. She didn't want to think about it.
"Okay, I will," she said with a smile, chasing away any thoughts of Loki. "It will be nice to have another brother around. One that is hopefully not as overbearing as my twin. I can only handle one overprotective sibling."
