"Jobs," she said happily. She hadn't even thought of that - that was good. Jobs were always good in this economy. Speaking of which - "And some people don't even have medical insurance, so this will probably be an even bigger help than we know." Shutting SHIELD up was the icing on the cake.
"I'd rather you be awake for this," she said. It was far less voyeuristic. Pepper did far more covert staring than was at all appropriate.
Sighing, Pepper nodded. Tony rarely said 'please' and although she could say no to him when he did, it was always that much harder. Pulling the towel up to gently dry his back, she adjusted the sheets to cover him to his waist, then combed the back of his hair into place with her fingers, studying the bruises to determine how best to do this.
"Put your arms up more," she said softly. "It..." It did very interesting things to his musculature. "Emphasizes the pattern of discoloration." Not a lie. Looking again, it struck her what way would look best, but Pepper bit her lip, hesitating. Dammit.
"Scoot over," she sighed, climbing onto the bed and throwing one leg over his waist. "Don't get any ideas," she muttered. Holding herself up to avoid putting any unnecessary weight on him that might be painful, Pepper focused through the viewfinder and had to admit - it made a truly amazing picture. She snapped quickly, taking eight, two each from slightly different angles.
"There," she breathed, flipping back through the images. They were perfect.
