"No, she agreed." So many of them were close about their identities. Pepper imagined that anything that might possibly give them away would be turned down. Others might be against it just on principle, but maybe there were ways they could compromise. And if they couldn't, anything was better than nothing. "It's a good cause," she said confidently. "If nothing else, I think people will see that."
Running her fingers through his hair with the pretense of drawing out as much of the excess water as she could, Pepper reluctantly stood up to get a couple of towels from the cabinet for him. "Let's take them so you can get some sleep," she said, draping one over his head and shoulders and putting the other beside the tub.
"I'm going to go get the camera. Go ahead and lie down, but don't fall asleep." She left the room but came back a second later and added - and if you can't get out on your own do not push it, mister." She gave him her serious face before going again.
