Pepper stopped arguing about the raise. The last time she'd protested that she already made enough for family of six, he'd argued that he should still give her the raise and then get started on the family of six part. He wasn't going to let up.
Listening to him as she pulled two bottles of Gatorade and one of Vitamin Water, then another of regular water from the mini fridge, she snorted. Detouring in the bathroom for painkillers, Pepper returned to him, setting everything down and handing him one of the 'red' flavored Gatorades first, then opened the acetaminophen and shook out six into her palm, holding it out for him to take when he was ready.
