The fact that the Joker was 'busy' meant that soon there would be senseless violence and bloodshed did not upset Eddie as much as his concern for Harley's ... and his... safety. Right now, Eddie was safe in his lair, but being caught in the Joker's crosshairs was never a good idea, and so Eddie tried to keep his distance from the mad clown as far as possible. So far, he'd succeeded. But his friendship with Harley could be his ruination. Being the target of the entire Gotham police force, plus Batman and all the rest of his family did not intimidate him as much as one Joker, hellbent on doing him bodily harm. However, it was Harley who was Eddie's main concern now. It was common knowledge how Joker abused Harley, and being so possessive, the Joker knew she was communicating with another villain, he might overreact and hurt her.
"Keep an eye out for him, in case he comes into the room," Eddie advised. "I have to say, though, that it was awfully clever of you how you broke the Joker out of Arkham, even if it was the Joker. You have to promise me that next time I'm locked away, you'll help me escape, alright?
"So!" Eddie put his feet up on the desk, relaxing as he continued to speak. "You liked the suit, huh? I had it made, recently. It's still in good enough shape to wear again, for my next caper.!" He chuckled to himself.
