"Well that was easy," Jason commented, as he cuffed Damian to the outside door on the roof. Luckily training with the LoA meant he could also fight and disarm someone with those kinds of fighting skills if it came down to it. Jason picked up Damian's sword and threw it just out of reach of the kid. Or it would be out of reach if he could do anything with his hands.
"Now then. I'm sure this little recorder of yours isn't filled with sweet tunes. Let's have a listen."
Jason rewound the tape, became impatient and hit play. Wherever he stopped seemed to be around the first time they met, after the LoA scuffle.
"Mother seems to have hit the limits of her patience or this was some insipid act of sentimentality or cry for attention given the date..."
"... either way since she has yet to devote her full resources on the issue or put in a personal apperance..."
Mother. Did his mom send them?
"Talia."
That would make sense. The sword, the skills, the stubbornness. And that would make him Ra's grandson. Jason knew this was hitting some dangerous territory. He let the kid know he knew. He might try to deny it, but there wasn't too much harm in the name itself. He wasn't going to say how he knew her or why, just getting a reaction. Except this time it was going to be harder to talk circles around it.
