Re: Fighting the Bilchsteim
The entire ship bucked as a...monster dropped out of the sky and onto her flight deck, and Maria couldn't help but reflect that no matter how long she was in SHIELD, there was always something she hadn't seen.
It was a monster, it was on her flight deck, it was going down. "Evacuate the flight deck! Stabilize us!" she barked, "Forward guns!"
She counted it a bonus that not only could the engineers actually manage to compensate for the beast - she'd worry about the stress of the engines later - but the gunners didn't hit anyone evacuating or flying to the rescue, in the case of flying green guy who summoned a green fist. As the beast charged, the forward guns swung around, locked on, and started firing.
The bullets seemed to annoy it. But at least it turned to attack the guns instead. As it set its antlers against the metal, Maria turned and pointed at the gunners. "You two with me. We're getting bigger guns," she explained as she left the bridge and headed for the RPGs in the armory.
