The oddest part of being a family of celebrities (as far as Reed was concerned at least) was the fact that they still functioned as a normal family- for the most part. They still went out to dinner and the movies, took cabs, picked up dry cleaning and all the rest. They had accidentally become the symbol of the modern, old-fashioned American family. For the most part, the FF kept good control over their publicity and that made them both boring and intriguing to the American public. Reed was glad they still had the ability to live the way they wanted; even with the interest of the press. Usually, the media was pretty manageable. Usually.
Once their wine had been brought and the order placed, Reed quietly reached across the table to take Sue's hand. "Happy Anniversary, Susan."
