Who: Loki; Wanda Maximoff Where: New Jersey Shore When: Monday, May 28, early morning What: Memorial Day vacation on the beach leads to a possible breakdown for Wanda when she sees her deceased children (an illusion cast by that little shit, Loki) Rating: PG-13
It was a two story beach-side house, a little bit weather worn and could've stood a little fixing, but it was simple - a nice getaway with a fantastic view of the ocean. Loki's eyes fluttered open from the sunlight streaming through the balcony windows and immediately turned his gaze at the woman in whose arms he had slept. Her dark hair was splayed beautifully upon the white linen of the pillow, and he caught sight of the talisman she wore with his symbol. Before long he realized that he was feeling some affection for the mortal that went beyond the act he played as Tom, the man Wanda thought she loved. This would not do. It could not be. It was all an intricate web, lies upon lies. Even if he did reveal himself for who he was, Wanda would be furious for his deceit. He would simply not permit himself to be taken in by this woman, and he steeled his heart against her.
Slowly disentangling their naked bodies, Loki slid out from under the covers and, after casting one last glance at Wanda lying there, he went into the adjacent bathroom and turned on the shower.
