Who: Doug Ramsey and Agent Coulson Where: The Ramsey Home When: Sunday, May 27, Evening What: This is what happens when you hack an intelligence agency like SHIELD. Rating: PG
The house was empty. Everything was turned off except the refrigerator and microwave. There hadn't been much Doug had needed of his things, in the end, but he figured it was safe to show up, and grab what was left of his things to bring them back to the motel. That situation wouldn't last long, but as long as they accepted cash and no questions, he could deal with it for another week. Then, Doug would have to get creative.
He doubted the Riddler would be constantly waiting for him, that the man would decide he bad better things to focus on... a new scheme or pursuit. That was the nature of Eddie: he did not stay in neutral for long.
So when the doorbell rang, Doug practically dropped his bags and yelled. Instead, being as quiet as he'd been taught in that week-long crash course Batgirl had given him, Doug set his bags down and peered outside a window.
It wasn't Riddler. It was a man in a suit. Not two men, like the FBI might show up. A salesman or something else. His body language did not read as hostile, though there was an air of preparedness to it. Not terribly uncommon when coming to people's doors in Gotham.
In the end, his instincts told him that opening the door would not kill him, and Doug moved to the door as the bell rang again. He opened the door, keeping the chain on, and peered at the man through the opening. "Can I help you?"
