Re: Bruce and Bruce!
"Plans?" Bruce didn't like the way Batman stressed the word. Knowing SHIELD, he got the gist that the organization was going to clamp down upon the city, which was well known for it's notorious criminal element. He glanced around to make double sure that no SHIELD official was nearby when he asked, "Why would you fight them, if they're there to help? Unless... they plan to take full control?"
Listening to Batman's suggestion, Bruce looked worried, his brow wrinkling. "Only fifteen minutes?" That seemed far too close for Bruce's liking. Fifteen minutes away was nothing for the Other Guy to breech, and he could just imagine the destruction that could be wrought in Manhattan, the concentrated number of people that could be hurt. He scratched his ear, nervously. "That would have to be some reinforcements for me to even consider a location like that." But the offer sounded much more enjoyable than living inside the metal confines of the Helicarrier. "Not that I don't appreciate it. I'm just concerned. Maybe... if I took a look at what you and Tony come up with... I could help adjust." After all, who else would know better how to protect against the Hulk than himself?
Bruce then sighed and lowered his voice even more, regarding this confidential topic. "That thought's crossed my mind. Both points. Yet, nobody's come up to me yet to test me, much less ask me anything. Unless they're conducting experiments in my sleep, which is possible, but I'd think I'd figure that out sooner or later." Nevertheless, Bruce was grateful to Batman, though he understood that Gotham's Dark Knight wasn't doing this out of personal kindness - like most who realized the destructive nature of his condition, Batman naturally wanted to protect the public as much as Bruce did, to take precautions that the Hulk wouldn't rampage again.
