Bart paused for a minute. He hadn't expected anyone to bring Kara into the circle with him and he hadn't really thought through the whole 'exit strategy' bit. But she didn't seem too mad... he hoped.
He gulped when Kara was standing right in front of him and looked up at her. "I dunno. I've never been to one before." He answered honestly, starting to turn red again. In order to keep from clamming up again entirely, Bart started singing a little bit, then more until he was flat out singing again:
"You took your time with the call, I took no time with the fall. You gave me nothing at all, but still you're in my way." He grew louded and more animated as he got back into the swing of the music, "I beg borrow and steal, at first sight and it's real. I didn't know I would feel it, but it's in my way."
Bart started up his dorky dances again, standing in place and boogeying, but looking up at Kara from under all his red hair,"Your stare was holdin', ripped jeans, skin was showin', hot night, wind was blowin'..." Bart took a hold of Kara's hand again and spun her into his arms the way he had seen them do in movies, "Where you think you're going, baby?"
Quickly, to keep from getting slapped, Bart let her go and proceeded to start dancing in circles around her, doing the moonwalk and the robot, "Before you came into my life I missed you so bad, I missed you so bad- and you should know that, I missed you so so bad."
Bart danced his way back to Kara and stopped dancing for a moment, "It's hard to look right at you baby." He held out the construction paper for her, "But here's my number, so call me maybe."
Oh yes, Bart was thoroughly committed to seeing this through now; idiotic as it might seem in retrospect. But if it worked...
