"I said I'll think about it. Let me graduate first. And then the job search really begins." To be fair, Jen could probably rake in some decent tips working at Guy's bar. But Jen didn't feel like subjecting herself to the kind of ogling she'd receive by some of the patrons.
"Exactly." In his own Guy way, it kind of made sense, his analogy. Where as Roy was the doughnut and he was 'fucking delicious, as Guy put it. Or something. Jen took a breath and let it out slowly. "He's got a kid. Amongst other things." Like being an ex-junkie, which no shame, but Jen didn't think to bring it up to Guy because he was clean now. But she knew how it would sound - not great. Or the fact he was a gun freak.
"Its been hard to carve out time where our schedules sync up. I didn't know you had a police record," she said finally, giving her drink a swizzle.
