The bridge was as chaotic as the base on the ground, but Maria was proud to know that it was coordinated chaos, and they were achieving the purposes they needed to; no one was panicking, at least not now that they had their orders, which, as a nice bonus, did not involve getting in the way of the Hulk.
The Quinjet was being maneuvered onto the launching catapult, the squad of helicopters already lifting off from their landing pad, and as she watched the flight deck, Maria got reports on the Gotham site's vehicle status, a map of the area on the screens in front of her with little red dots popping up as the list of inhabitants added names.
The unfamiliar voice in her ear made her blink and look away from her work. "Dr. Richards," she acknowledged, if a little shortly. "Busy." Before she could tell him to get to the point and make it fast, he did. She rapidly considered the request: he might be a civilian, but he had some experience with the superpowered, and did have that connection to Bruce.
The Quinjet launched, as much under its own power as with the catapult, lifting smoothly away from the deck. "Very well. Stay where you are. We've a jet inbound that will pick you up. Their ETA is...ten minutes." They needed to be faster, she thought as she folded her arms. If this had happened when he'd been in the city, he'd have caused a lot of damage by the time they got there. Of course, a Hulk Incident in the city was a completely different matter entirely.
