Sue returned Bruce's greeting with a smile, not saying anything at first. At some point in her life, maybe it was when the Fantastic Four became celebrities, she'd grown accustomed to people greeting her with enthusiasm, but there were still times where she didn't feel entirely worthy of their admiration. In other words, she still had trouble accepting compliments at times.
"It's good to see you, Bruce," she said, gently, giving his hands a gentle squeeze, because it was a way of communicating warmth and fondness without going so far as to hug him. Sudan didn't dare to hug him outright. That wouldn't be too far past his boundaries, she thought, given how much he'd isolated himself from the rest of the world for the last seven years. "Of course we came. Reed wasn't going to take no for an answer."
