Bruce had been upon greeting Reed that he hadn't seen Sue in the corner. It wasn't until Reed called his attention to her. His smile lifted a notch. "Sue! Oh my God. It's... so good to see you." She looked as though she hadn't aged a bit since the last time he saw her, seven years ago. Sue and Reed were a 'couple', and Bruce would regularly tease Reed, asking when he was going to 'make an honest woman' out of her. It was a shame that he missed their wedding, but Bruce was trying hard not to dwell on all the things he missed because of 'the Other Guy'.
He approached Sue and took both of her hands with his own, holding them warmly; there might've been a tear misting in his eye. "I'm glad you came. You don't know what it means to me." He looked over his shoulder at Reed to include him in that statement. It helped him feel less of a monster by reconnecting with his past.
