Having landed a few minutes prior, the Doctors Richards had been lead to a conference room where they would be able to talk to Dr. Banner when he arrived. The room was laid our with pens, pencils, paper, a large dry erase board complete with its own markers and eraser as well a several tablet computers.
Clearly, SHIELD was hoping that this was a meeting for science-- but Reed wasn't interested. With the same single-minded focus that he handled problems in the lab, Reed's world had narrowed to the immediate problem: How did one tell one of their oldest friends, who could conceivably destroy this entire base and the adjacent city, that his wife was dead?
Reed sat in one of the chairs in the conference room (having been pacing for the past five minutes) and set his elbow on the table, resting his chin in his hand and staring off into the middle distance as he tried to decide the proper tactics to take.
