"Yeah, it used to be two, but I've made some friends?" she confessed. It wasn't like he shouldn't know where his stuff was going. There were reasons she was vague and it was not just to protect the other kids, but it was also to protect him from the other kids. She knew Eli would probably be cool, but the others? She hadn't run with them long enough to actually trust them with anything other than her own back. Introductions were left for when she was certain.
"Could you have them done by Wednesday evening?" she asked in response to his second question. "I mean, no rush, but that's our next meeting. It'd be nice to have them done by then." Ted was just great and this sort of stuff, but she didn't want to crowd him if he had other plans. "Oh, and what's your favorite food?" She just wanted to bring him something the next time she dropped in. It was just a really nice gesture if nothing else, a small thank you? She could try and buy him something, but he already had all this stuff, not to mention his own successful company.
