"Well I don't want to get you in trouble. What with the hero thing, and your secret identity to protect." Although even when she took off her sunglasses, she just looked like a teenager to Ted. Who knows maybe some hypothetical guest of his might know her secret ID though ... but really Ted knew that if someone found a teenage girl sneaking into his apartment via a window in the spare room that the teenage girl wasn't going to be the one in trouble, or splashed all over TMZ. Well maybe not TMZ. Ted was realistic enough to know that Kord Inc wasn't really flashy enough to have a potential scandal involving the CEO's son make it to TMZ.
Ted talked a lot so the fact that Hawkeye was talking a lot right now didn't phase him, and he was able to keep up. He nodded a long as she talked, waiting for a pause before he added his own comments.
"Well I've got more of the usual." He had been testing out some new kinds of tips he could put on arrows, but that work was back in his Beetle Lair. And not fully tested so Ted wasn't handing those prototypes over as of yet. As he talked he moved over to the closet and quickly entered the key code in that unlocked said closet - yes maybe it might seem weird to some people that Ted had a closet in the spare room locked by a keypad but he worked hard to give off the vibe of eccentric, geeky, inveter person. Actually he didn't have to work hard to give off that vibe, he was a geeky eccentric inventer person.
He opened up the closet and pulled out some arrows turning back to face her with a grin on his face.
"Communicators! What a good idea!"
Ted had never considered making those before, he thought it would be easy (but also something new ... a new project to work on, that would help take his min doff things.)
"What type of range were you looking for?" Ted grabbed a notebook (a blue one of course ...)and a pen and got ready to take some notes! "And how many?" He feigned casualness. "I mean it's always good to have extra on hand ..."
Hey if she worked with a group, more power to her. Ted didn't like to pry too much, but he did try and pick up clues here and there.
