Billy listened and nodded as she spoke. Made sense, the benefit of a doubt thing. And though he frowned inwardly at her saying that she could get him a costume, he didn't show it outwardly. He wasn't saying that because he couldn't get his own, but rather because he hadn't done it yet.
He took the paper from her and looked it over once before walking over and stuffing it in a side pocket of his bag.
"I'll be there," he said as he started gathering other things up. He probably should be getting home. It was getting late as it was, and he still had some homework before school, as well as sleep in between.
