Barbara had been waiting anxiously for any word from Doug. It was such an idiotic thing to do! And yet, she remembered a time when she would have done similar things--not allying herself with a supervillain but certainly she had voluntarily put herself in danger enough times to have been on the receiving end of a number of stern talking to's from Batman. She was going to have such serious words with this kid if they got him out of this alive.
Still, for as much as she was furious with him, that practical part of her mind was anxious to see if this would turn up some useful information on the Riddler. That was when she got the first ping of contact. She had a suspicion of what she was looking at, but she couldn't quite believe it. He had intercepted the Riddler's code and was sending small bits of it directly to her. She let out a loud laugh.
Sometimes teenagers were a pain in the ass in the best possible way.
It didn't take long for her to surreptitiously trace the data back to its origin, and she pulled up her roster to see who was close and available. She opened up a commlink with Nightwing. "Hey man-sized-wonder. I have a hit on the Riddler's location. Need you to drop what you're doing and move in immediately." She trusted Dick to take care of business.
She stared at the code, trying to piece together exactly what the Riddler was after.
