No sooner had Doug switched back to the primary hacking attempt then he practically jumped out of his seat, his phone playing the muffled ringtone in his pocket.
"can he swing, from a web, no he can't, he's a pig, look ooouuuut..."
Doug silenced the ringtone quickly, pulling his phone from his pocket. The incoming call was preventing his message from getting out to Oracle. He glanced over at Eddie, his fear and surprise right on his face. Good. Go natural. Right? If he didn't answer this, it could delay the Oracle contact by whole minutes.
Hand shaking, Doug set his phone on the desk next to the computer and hit the speaker button. He couldn't afford to have Eddie be any more suspicious. "H-hello?"
"Hello! This is a convenience recording reminding to return your tuxedo order to The Cobble Pot by Monday, to receive full credit and avoid late..."
Doug hung up the call with a tap of the touch-screen, looking over at Eddie. The boy's face was frozen in horror. "Worst possible timing," he murmured, then switched the phone to silent and put it back in his pocket, not quite ready to resume his special program. Not until they were both focused on their computers again.
