Re: Aftermath: Steph/Doug
A flutter behind Stephanie heralded the arrival of Batgirl, who'd been watching the scene from a distance the entire time. She knew she should go to the Clocktower, peel off her costume and thoroughly clean off the Scarecrow toxin and hormonal dust. But she'd seen Batman stop to talk to Catwoman, so she figured it couldn't hurt to make a final check to see how her friends were holding up. Besides, they'd been given the antidote against the stuff, right?
"You okay?" Batgirl asked Stephanie. Her gaze couldn't help but fall upon the small box Stephanie was holding. The one Doug had left behind. She could see him slowly walk away, and she wanted to catch up with him as well.
But this was the first time she'd interacted with Spoiler without the latter wearing a mask, so this was important. Batgirl had known for a while what Spoiler's real face looked like -- it was on the computer file, after all -- but this was in three dimensions. A part of her wished she could take off her mask and let her best friend see her face.
