If you were watching, it wasn't hard to figure out the Black Canary's schedule. Every night, an hour after dark when most people were settling in to put the kids to bed or watch some late night TV, the low purr of a powerful motorcycle sounded through the streets of Gotham. That in itself wasn't all that unusual for the fair citizens, given that anyone could have a motorcycle-- but the strange part was the fact that the rider, a dishy blonde, had replaced her pants with fishnets.
Most people didn't recognize the Black Canary on first sight-- Gothamites were usually much more wrapped up in spotting Batman (and maybe Robin) than any other heroes who lived and worked in their metropolis-- but this was a trait Dinah used in her favor. Besides, it gave her the opportunity for better entrances anyway.
Which was exactly what she did tonight. Driving down to Midtown, Dinah kept to the streets, watching a group of drug dealers beginning to unload their wares from a car that had been specially build to smuggle said drugs. She couldn't tell from the packets they were carting out what kind of drugs were in them, but she assumed that whatever it was had come in from a shipping barge with the car as cover.
"Hey boys." She finally spoke up, having climbed off of her motorcycle to stand in the entrance of the alley, blocking their only way out. "Nice night to commit a federal offense, huh?"
Okay, so she couldn't always be the most witty person on the block- and Dinah currently had 'Fun, Fun, Fun' by the Beach Boys stuck on repeat in her head so that didn't help matters much anyway.
The five baddies advanced, one pulling a knife-- but they were no match for the Kung Fu prowess of one of Gotham's resident superheroines. She knelt next to one of the thugs to lift out his cellphone and place an anonymous tip to the police before dropping the phone next to the baddie again and walking back to her bike.
