"No, it's not work related," she said, shaking her head. Wanda went quiet. Should she mention meeting Billy? Compare him to her seemingly died son? Would that cause her to have to explain what she had done all those years ago? And if it did, would she be willing to tell him? She glanced at Tom, meeting his gaze. Yes, maybe so. He was always so understanding... he wouldn't judge her.
"I met a young man yesterday," she finally said, poking her lasagna with her fork but not picking it up from the plate. "Do you remember the boy I told you about? The one that reminded me of my brother? Well, the boy looked like him. They could have been twins."
She paused, debating what she could say next. "His name was Billy and, well, it got me thinking of my children. I think of those two boys and I can't help but wonder if somehow they are really mine. It sounds silly, I know. But..." She trailed off, then stuffed a piece of food into her mouth to give herself an excuse to go quiet.
