"Well, maybe I want a few unsavory sorts walking in," Wanda replied with a playful smile, sneaking another kiss before he presented the bundle of lavender roses to her. Her smile decreased ever so slightly at the mention of Mother's Day, but the strategic placement of the bouquet in front of her lower face hid it. She sniffed the nearest rose, taking in the sweet scent.
"These are beautiful, thank you." She gave him a quick peck on the cheek. "Let me put these in some water and then you can give me that something extra you have."
She walked into the kitchen and rummaged under the sink for a vase to fill with water and place the flowers in. Once she had done so, she gave her finished cooking a once over before going back into the living room and setting the flowers onto the coffee table.
"Dinner is prepared," she informed. "I just need to dish it out whenever you would like to eat."
