Tony couldn't help but sigh as he finished the scan of the vehicle. "Exactly how many wires and subprograms did you run to the power cells?" he asked rhetorically. There was a happy medium between too few and too many, and the vehicle hadn't hit that. Of course, he didn't have a backup power source to worry about for the armor, and given that his first effort at managing power levels had netted him a concussion and a broken house, he couldn't really feel too superior.
Instead, he just was intrigued by the mechanical problems, taking notes both in his head and through the armor as to what to do when he tried to make a vehicle less aerodynamic than this one fly.
"Some one has to save the cars of the world," he had to say. "Imagine if we let thieves drive off with whatever they wanted and then abandoned their rides. It'd be terrible for the cars." He'd have to see about developing a more elaborate car security system. Maybe something with repulsors.
Well, if Blue Beetle was a hero, the very least he could do was stick around. Even if it was a little bit like Amateur and Comedy Hour out here. "You do realize that I have some...considerable mechanical skill," he pointed out as he came around to the engine. "It's sorta my thing. And I doubt very seriously you'll fly this off of here," he added as he surveyed the engine and was duly grateful for the filtration system in his armor. "The melted power couplings are going to be a problem."
