"So you think that's us?" he asked her curiously. "That the two of us are connected and will always be drawn back together?" Jack considered that idea for a long moment and he had to agree that maybe it had some merit. After meeting Martha for the first time and her escaping from the Master, he didn't know if they'd ever see her again. Even their first meeting had been such a whirlwind and hadn't even lasted for more than a couple of days. But then she returned to rescue him and the Doctor, only to part ways in Cardiff when Jack went home. But even then, they made certain to stay in touch with each other. Martha took time away from UNIT to help Torchwood. They met up again when all of the Children of Time joined forces to defeat Davros and the Daleks. And now here she was again, working permanently for Torchwood and being at Jack's side.
"We do sort of have a knack for always finding each other," he finally admitted with a faint smile. "Who knows? You might be right, Martha."
He gently nudged her chin upwards and leaned in to tenderly kiss her. "You know there's nothing that would keep me away from finding you again if possible. So long as you're alive, I'd find you. It's not like I'll have to worry about running out of time."
