Escaflowne was still standing and was still not tired or showing any signs of fatigue.
"I once lacked any form of ranged attack. I have seen one of your ranged attacks. Here is one of mine."
The warrior god jumped high into the air and called upon his trident. He pointed the now sparking weapon at Powergirl and said "Thundaga" and fired the full extent of his power in a series of controlled narrow bolts of lightning, as they fired he flew among the lightning bolts towards Powergirl.
If this didn't defeat her then she deserved the title of undefeated and Escaflowne would admit that she was the better warrior. He had absorbed the electricity before it reached her, the initial rain of lightning was a distraction used as a fake out to allow him the time to initiate a huge radial explosion of magical electricity.
His body was naturally highly resistant to electricity, bordering on near total immunity and he had no problem using his body as a conduit for the explosion. He knew that neither of them would die from it but if she didn't drop from it, he would. Either way he wasn't going to stay standing after the spell exploded from within his body.
Whether he won or lost, Escaflowne gave the match his all from its beginning to its conclusion. On one knee he collapsed, exhausted and feeling the effects of his overdrive leave him.
"You are... one hell of a..." The god removed his helmet and dropped it to the ground and fell forward. "Warrior..." His armor sparked from damage sustained during battle and his helmet was severely damaged. His left eye was swollen shut and his mouth was bleeding. But he was happy because he had just fought one hell of a fight against a fierce and immensely powerful opponent. He still didn't know the outcome of the match but he didn't care win or lose. As his body healed, flesh mended and bones snapped and reset. Such an epic clash would require a lot longer to regenerate, especially considering the extent of his injuries. Four broken ribs, a shattered left shoulder, a smashed right hip, all four of his wings being broken in several places and a dislocated jaw. Any two of these injuries would have felled a lesser being. He not only didn't feel the pain of any of his injuries but his body didn't slow down at all from any of them. His ability to fight unhindered while severely damaged was one of his best qualities,
For now he laid on his back and allowed his broken and smashed body to heal as it began to rain.
