Things had gone from bad to fantastic. Wren had moved out of the mansion a few months back, after the mysterious disappearance of her boyfriend (but that term seemed unfit for Zuko) and she'd gone back to the live in the city with her half-sister, Anna. It hadn't been a terrible arrangement, but she had been miserable a good portion of the time she'd been away. The firebender had held her heart and he had returned to his own world, which was probably how it should've been, but she'd loved him. Imagining having a life without him in it was basically unfathomable for the umbrakine. Alas, life had moved on and she had begun living her own life again. Anna had tried (unsuccessfully) to set her up on a string of blind dates, which Wren had found sweet, but a little annoying, because she hadn't been ready to be with someone else. The thought alone was enough to turn the half-Asian woman's stomach inside out. However, a few months later, she had received a call: Zuko had returned! Wren had never heard such happy news in her entire life. Zuko was home. It had only taken her ten minutes to back up her belongings and two and a half hours of driving, but she'd arrived back in Westchester County and into the arms of her beloved in one piece. They'd spent most of the afternoon and evening enjoying one another's company, catching up and holding each other, and never letting the other out of the other's sight. But, eventually, they'd settled in... into their new bedroom! Before Zuko... left, they'd mutually decided it was time to move in together. And now that he was back, they couldn't find a good reason for them not to go through with their original plans. Why wait? Wren was tired of waiting. The 'moving in' bit hadn't lasted long, seeing as they didn't have too much to stuff put away (mostly clothes).
