Marian tried not to let the simple compliment go to her head, but she was very aware that it had come from the goddess of the hunt. How could one not let that (just a little) land?
She nodded to Artemis' gesture and led the way through the greenery, less concerned about being completely silent now, but still not making much noise. It came naturally to Marian to be quiet in the woods, both as a hunter and a outlaw.
When they reached where the buck had fallen, he was already dead and Marian crouched down and reached out to pull her arrow free. "Looks like my aim hasn't gotten too rusty." She smiled up at Artemis. "What were your plans for this thing?" Marian didn't have a camp set up herself, but had been going to find somewhere after the buck had been brought down.
