What Marian did not want to think about was the shiver that a simple touch on her lower back gave her. She looked up and met his eye for a moment, considering, slightly thrown off but not alarmed.
But then he spoke, and it made her drop the thought. "I'm not drunk!" Marian argued, even if she was a little drunk. "I just had a rough day, and I was drinking before you even walked in the door. But maybe at the next bar I'll get a coke."
