The corner of her mouth twitched into what might faintly be a smile, and if the eye roll that followed was ever so slightly fond, well, at least Otto missed it.
"Dinner is ready," she informed them, leading the pair of them into the dining room. Her husband sat at the head of the table, Pride on the right, and Greed across from her. Pride was curious as to what her little brother might be up to, but this was not the time or place for that conversation.
"We were just discussing the plans for the emperor's new cathedral," Otto went on. "They say it will be magnificent once complete."
Pride hated going into churches, so she avoided it if she could help it. But all she said aloud was, "I'm sure it will be, if the emperor is overseeing it."
