Rosario had to tear her eyes away from the ceiling. It wasn't just constellations; there was a gorgeous stylised representation of the Solar System up there, the eight planets with their orbits denoted by gilt concentric circles, and in place of the Sun, a round skylight through which the real deal could shine. It was the bedroom ceiling her kid-self wished she coulda had.
She stepped fully into the room, placing her bag down where Merlin had indicated. The smug little smile escaped her notice entirely; her attention was being tugged in a dozen different directions as new curiosities kept catching her eye: an enormous leather-bound book, as thick as most hardcovers were tall; a jewel-like glimmer of light from a cabinet half in shadows— was that a human skeleton?
She might have asked, if Merlin hadn't just given her something else to wonder about. Rosario's brows twitched together. "What's the potion for?"
