Merlin shrugged enigmatically. Truth was, he'd go back down and tell Hecate the plan worked, and then he'd go home for a nightcap and then bed. But that didn't sound very magical. "This and that. A few errands to run that can only be done in the dark."
He paused, pulling his coat open and feeling inside an inner pocket until he found the book he was looking for. "Here. Some homework until I see you next," he said, passing "The Once and Future King" to Kaden. There was a slip of paper with his address on it tucked inside the cover... and he whispered a little bit of a drowsy spell over it as he passed it to Kaden. Enough that Kaden could get into bed, read a little, and fall into a warm and comfortable sleep.
