If Kaden had to describe what transforming from a dog back into a person had been like – not that anybody had ever or would ever ask him – the best he could have managed was that it'd been like waking from a dream where things were kinda okay, then being dropped bodily off a cliff into a world where things really weren't. Course he remembered the faces of the people who had done the dropping.
