Lyra's face echoed her guess so! in the form of a grin and a small swig of the vodka. "Aves bought me this with our winnings," she nodded. "The whole thing was insane," she tried to explain it with a grasping hand gesture for emphasis cuz insane didn't encapsulate it all very well. "Just— I'd hit a roll, and then lose it, and then hit it again and lose it but we were spiraling upwards, blackjack and roulette and— and I tried to stay away from the slots but they saved me, one point. I had one measly ticket left and bam, jackpot!" This with a fling of her arm, though it wasn't so much of a fling she risked loosing the bottle. Just enough to underline the point the way the point needed to be underlined.
"I full on had this plan to keep track of how many bets I made and how many I won so I could be like, science," she added, "but I kinda... got distracted." A sheepish smile here, but it had no shame in it. "It was intense, real intense, and I got something for ya, okay," she shoved the bottle between her knees so she could fish another roll of cash, bound by another scrunchie and not easy to see in the dim light. "That's part of it, and you gotta take it. A shield 'gainst the oncoming year, yeah?"
