With Marian crying, Robin couldn't help it. A few tears spilled over, but not enough to draw attention to him. He sat with her, rocking her back and forth, whispering reassuring things to her. That he loved her. That they were okay. That they were safe here and things would be alright. "I love you," he whispered to her as she cried, but no way was he going to stop her. She deserved to cry all she needed to. Trying to stop her was trying to shut off her outpouring of grief and Robin didn't want to do that. He wanted to be there for whatever she needed to express.
