Avery might be closing his eyes, but Lyra found it hard to take hers off him, except when a salsa covered slice of avocado slipped off her tortilla and she had to chase it down her front, scraping the smudge of salsa off the robe with a blunt nail.
"Yeah... same," she nodded slowly in agreement, but then after a moment of quiet eating, she reached out and took his hand. It was greasy with bacon, but she lifted it to her mouth to kiss it anyway. "I remember how good I felt, though," she murmured against the back of his hand, then turned her head to press her cheek against it as she looked up at him. "How good to be with you."
