Hecate nodded, giving Marcie's leg a slow rub and she sat with her through the pain. Hera would be able to tell Marcie was family, no mistake, so it was best to be open about whose daughter she was from the beginning.
She sent Hera a quick message, short on detail but specific about the kind of help that was needed, and when the wards in the hall outside the elevator warned her another goddess was coming, Hecate took her leave from Marcie. "I'm just going to talk to her outside for a moment first," she said, as she brought a freshly warmed hot water bottle over to Marcie's couch. "Won't be long."
She wanted to be open, yes, but not over text.
Hecate stepped out of Marcie's room just as Hera stepped around the corner, and Hecate shut the door gently behind her, and checked they were alone in the quiet hallway. "Thank you for coming so quickly."
