She shouldn't be the one walking away from him, he was the one to tell her to leave! She didn't get to treat him like he was the unhinged one here, when he just wasn't. In fact- he set his glass down and strode to the door to get there first and unlock it to wrench it open for her to leave, and so he could slam it shut behind her. "Don't call me unless you can change your mind," he snapped sharply. "Believe me when I say that. Goodbye."
Yeah, it wasn't her fault, but that didn't change the fact that it fucking hurt that she'd joined the ranks of every other person who'd ever treated him like a liar and/or an idiot. That bottle of bourbon was going to get a hammering once she was gone.
