Avery felt too unnerved to be impressed at this juncture. Perhaps he would be later, when he could think about it more clearly, but right now he was just trying to remember to breathe. He nodded stiffly because it seemed to be what Apollo wanted him to do, and he was testing how normal his throat felt again. Not even a twinge of discomfort.
But still, he wanted- what? Confirmation? How close had he been? What else was out there? But he also didn't wanna get his throat ripped out or anything either. "Why- why me?" he asked at last. "I can't be the only one to ever figure this out."
