"Yeah, I was saying," Apollo reached out and snatched the phone from Avery's hand to make sure he wasn't recording— never trust a muckraker. He shut Avery up with a glare before he could protest, and with a flick of his wrist skidded the phone over the table behind him, where it stopped well out of reach because Avery would have had to lunge through Apollo to get it back.
"I'm going to show you exactly who you're dealing with," he said, stepping closer still to herd Avery back, and glowing a bit for added effect, as though a bright beam of sunlight had broken through Avery's ceiling. The shadows it cast behind him bulked him up ever further, not that bulk was necessary to get his point across (though it wasn't going to hurt.)
"I'm no alien," he said, as Avery reached the wall. "I'm a god. I am Apollo, best of the sons of Zeus, and I'm going to show you exactly how I can destroy you."
