"I'm not going to-" Avery instantly responded, but he was cut off by Archer continuing his train of thought. Disappointing? Disappointing? That was only two weeks of work finding needles in giant piles of haystacks! This country was huge and there were millions upon millions of people who had ever lived in it, and somehow, Avery had managed to find five identities. Well, kind of five and a half if he counted the named but unpictured Alexander Fletcher I.
The only thing Avery had been given by Brody that he hadn't been able to place anywhere was this: Olympus. And now he was wondering... had Archer lived in another country before this one? Had he come over on a pilgrim ship after observing generations of people in Europe? The enormity was staggering.
"There aren't records. I didn't know where to search," he said, trying to defend the integrity of his work. And now questions were starting to bubble up as the fear began to subside. Oh, he still had a healthy terror preventing any foolish moves, but... was he right? Just how long had Archer been walking this earth??
