"Family can be... interesting," Lachesis agreed with a dry smile. She was still rummaging in her handbag, and as she spoke, her fingers brushed the edge of a blister pack, which she produced with a small nod of satisfaction. "Ah, I knew I had some Tylenol. Here you go, sweetheart." She placed the tablets on the desk for Lyra.
"We had a printing press one time," added Clotho, who'd reappeared in time to catch Lyra's enthusiastic perusal of the shelves. She was carrying a damp tea towel and a glass of water, the former of which she passed to Lyra before she set the latter down beside the Tylenol. "I thought we were never going to get rid of it!"
"And then that we'd have to knock a hole in the wall to get it out," Atropos added.
